Work Completed Date: January 13, 2012 Hire Again: Yes Approximate Cost: $400.00 Description Of Work: Family room ceiling needed to be repaired (one small water stain, some tape bubbling/cracking) and repainted. This is a textured ceiling which starts at 8 ft at the walls and slants up to a 12 ft ceiling. Jeff and partner prepped the room and sealed it off from the rest of the house and then retaped, patched, primed where necessary and painted(sprayed) the textured ceiling. Member Comments: I am someone who does all my own painting, but the textured family room ceiling which is 12 ft tall intimidated me! Especially because some taped seams needed to be repaired, due to a watermark and some cracking. I called Franklin Painting for an estimate and decided to have the ceiling repaired and painted by them. The price sounded fair for the amount of work and time it would have taken me to do it. They were here within a week of my phone call, promptly at 8:00am. Jeff and ? did a fantastic job preparing the room by taping/putting plastic on the walls, moving all furniture and covering it, and sealing off the room. They retaped a few seams and reglued others. Respackled a spot where there was a water stain and then oil-primed it so the stain wouldn't reappear. Sprayed my textured ceiling (which is now a beautiful bright white!) and then cleaned up everything! When they left, four hours after they arrived, you would never have known they were here, except for the nice, new paint smell and my renewed ceiling! What a difference! They were professional, courteous and immaculate in their work. At the end, Jeff presented me with an invoice which was less than I had been quoted, adjusted because the job didn't take as long as they had originally thought. So add "fair" to the list, too! Best project I could have paid someone else to do!! Thank you!

Description Of Work:
We hired Franklin to paint the exterior of our house,
which is covered with original (circa 1953) cedar shakes that were last
painted/stained haphazardly by someone immediately before we purchased the
house in 2005. I had replaced severely damaged or broken shakes around the
house, so there was a base mismatch. Even so, there was a good amount of prep
work to do before the first brush of paint could be applied. Frankin power washed the house and then painted the base
color and trim.
Member Comments:
An entire team tackled my house; from the quote to power
washing to color matching and finally to the painting, everything was done in
a professional manner. Communication from Franklin was great and the end
result is very pleasing. When the painting crew had a technical problem with
their sprayer (a hose burst) they were quick and thorough with clean up to
the point that if I hadn't been home when they were doing the work I wouldn't
have known there was a problem. They cleaned up the work site every evening
and were just great to deal with during the project. They even replaced some
damaged shakes I missed during their prep. |

Ceiling and wall repaint in large open area ( cathedral ceiling) kitchen/dining room/living room. Also

Member Comments:
We were very pleased with this company. The entire
process was extremely professional with great results. Andy and his associate
did all the work, which included patching and some drywall repair, in a
prompt and timely fashion. What we really liked were the updates
and summaries of what the crew would be working on and finishing on a day by
day basis. .Andy checked in with us whenever there was a question about
anything, which I consider to be part of the lost practice of Good
Customer Service. If you need a color suggestion, you will be in good hands
as well. These guys know their business, and get the job done right.
Excellent clean up, good care taken when moving your furniture around,
no spills, and you can still live in your house comfortably at the end of
each work day! Remember, they were working on High ceilings and walls
with ladders too.... Any stains or wall dings/dents/holes...gone! Price was
right on the money, and Frank made the quote /ob evaluation process painless
We WILL be using this company again, no doubt about it. Great Job.

Description Of Work:
After a very icy winter with heavy snowfall, our
family room was left with considerable water damage on the ceiling and
wall. Many homes in our area were damaged by winter storms.
By spring, home owners were scrambling to find competent
contractors to provide reasonable estimates for repairs. Since this was
an insurance claim, I had to get approval from my insurance
company before any work was begun. The estimate provided by my
insurance carrier came in very low and I knew
I would would have to make an appeal for additional
funds. Frank from Franklin Painting was helpful in working out a
settlement with my insurance company so that the repairs could be done
properly. Beacuse the family room opens to the
kitchen and dining area, the ceilings in those rooms had to be retextured as
well. A "popcorn texture" had been originally applied to all
the ceilings. My first thought was to re-apply the popcorn texture and
I instructed Franklin Painting to do so. However, once I saw the
ceiling without the popcorn I immediately changed my mind. I wanted a
flat finish for all the ceilings. Greg from Franklin painting was
very accomodating with this change order
and completed the job without any add-on charges.
Member Comments:
I am completely satisfied with the work. The three
paint crew members who worked on my house were neat, quiet and quick.
Removing popcorn texture from the ceilings is an incredibly messy
job. The crew kept the house well protected from all the dust and
particles by enclosing the work areas with sheets of plastic. Had this
not been done carefully, there could have been a huge mess to clean
afterward. Unfortunately, the job ran over a weekend and we were
unable to use our kitchen for two days. My suggestion would be to
schedule a job like this at the beginning of a week since it was
completed in four days. The work that was completed looks great. This
is a very professional company.

Franklin Painting LLC did a good job as it was a
difficult task. They were professional and they cleaned up well. I had an
issue with their price. I was quoted $60 an hour and they finished the job in
5 and half hours. I got to know later that it was $60 per person. It may have
been my fault for not knowing or assuming that. I have used them before for
many jobs and they were pricey all the time.

Frank
shows up and sells the job, and he's definitely on the high end. It's worth
it though. That will probably be the last time you see him. Then his crew
leader will introduce himself and figure out the whole project. When, where,
why, how and for how long. Very professional and friendly. At the end of the
job a few days out, I noticed some plaster was peeling up on the ceiling.
Within an hour the guy that is basically the site boss shows up and fixes it
all for free. There is a bunch of chips on some of our bookcase shelves and I
won't be surprised if he is here and fixing it that some day. Overall, they
are a little pricey. I got a couple of quotes that were literally 1/5 as much
money. I'm sure the job would have reflected that. Where I'm standing, I want
a crew that does the paint right and Frank's running a well oiled ship.

Comments:
Getting
painters to do touch up work is not easy as it is often too small a job to be
considered worthwhile. Frankin painting were one of
only two painters from 5 contacted to get back with a quote. Their quote was
a good one and so I got them in. Tiing was not
crucial so I told them to work around their primary schedule as time allowed.
Their first efforts were a little too hasty, with the holes that were caulked
touched up in blotches which produced a slight mottling effect on the
woodwork. IN addition some spots had been missed. TO their crdit all of the additional work I requested (additional
touch ups in hard to reach places and full painting of the boards with
caulking to ensure the paint work blended) were all undertaken without
complaint, and the final result is pretty good. Overall as long as you are
willing to act as foremen and keep on top of the work being done, the price
and quality of work is good and I would certainly recommend Franklin to
others.

drama. They did a great job. In the end, Frank lowered the final bill by
about $350 to reflect the actual time the crew spent on the job.

get the work done. Frank promised a turnkey solution and the painting crew
delivered. I didn't have to prepare for the painters they removed all the
window treatments, moved all the furniture and worked around a bunch of kids.
The woodwork is old but the results were dramatic. I am a little obsessive so
I did notice some spots that were missed but they were more than happy to
come back out and address any of my concerns. I am 100% satisfied with my

After
contacting Frank, he promptly provided a comprehensive estimate for exterior
painting of our entire house. Franklin Painting was one of 4 estimates that i requested and his estimate was 3rd in price. His team
excelled in their communication skills and ALWAYS let me know when they would
arrive and the amount of work they would complete (weather was, of course, a
factor). Prior to the painting, our house required some carpentry repair
first. Frank is associated with a subcontractor who also provided an estimate
and completed a very satisfactory job of the repairs. We were especially
pleased with the professionalism and quality of work performed. Andy, who was
the lead for the team, was able to foresee potential problems and went out of
his way to correct them before the painting was to be done on the 'problem'
area. Exceptional cleanup was always completed at the end of their work days.
The overall work was completed on time and both my husband and I are thrilled
with the job. Our house looks brand new!!!!

My
initial call for a free estimate was returned the same day and Frank came out
the very next day and gave me a complete and fair estimate right then
(instead of getting back to me with an estimate which is what the 3 others I
called did ). He was very professional and VERY
knowledgeable about what could be done to fix my ceiling problems. Offered
suggestions on alternate ways to get the job done than what I had thought I
needed done. And his suggestions actually saved me money and time and ended
up looking really great. The team of 3 men were right on time for the job,
very nice and professional and very thorough. The work was done efficiently
because they had great equipment to make the job go fast with no mess plus
they really knew what they were doing. They cleaned up beautifully and were
very friendly. I am very happy with the whole process and the completed job.
I plan to use Franklin Painting again and highly recommend them.

2005 Description Of Work:
We have had Frankling painting to our house for several projects. The first and largest project was to paint our 2 story foyer, staircase and upstairs hallway. From the first meeting with Frank, to the outstanding job by Andy and his team, we were very impressed. The job was done quickly, neatly, all furniture was moved and replaced without incident. I felt extremely comfortable letting them be in the house while we were not home. Since that project, Franklin painting has returned to paint, a bedroom, a mudroom, doors and trim in the hallway, and door trims on the outside of the house. They even threw in painting our front door for free!! Member Comments:
It was an amazing experience. Please see above for details. Just let me tell you that I was very very very pleased with all my experiences with Franklin painting and I would never call anyone else again! |

This is the second job that Franklin Painting has done for us. In both cases, the crews were amazing! They were professional, respectful and a pleasure to have in my house. The owner, Frank Campanelli, is also a pleasure to work with. The crew performed a perfect job and cleaned up thoroughly afterwards. I will definitely use Franklin Painting again! |

Painting/glazing of kitchen and master bathroom cabinets
from dark wood to cream with an antique glazing finish. They also changed the
hardware on the kitchen cabinets.
Member Comments:
From the first phone call, Frank was accommodating and
responsive. We wanted the work to be done before moving into our new home,
and Franklin Painting made it happen. Frank worked with us on finish options.
He drew up a contract and the price remained true (except for the addition of
more cabinets in our master bath that we also decided to add to the project
list.) His crew arrived on time each day. Greg, Carlos and Donato were
polite, professional and meticulous in their work. The prep work was
impressive - the entire kitchen was "cocooned" in plastic so not a
surface was exposed. They used sprayers (like the automotive type) so the cabinets
came out smooth and beautiful. The powder glaze coat was patiently hand
applied by Greg on each cabinet. He asked for our approval before applying
the finish clear coat. You would never know the cabinets were ever a
different finish, it looks natural and original. In the end, not a drop of
paint landed where it shouldn't have. The kitchen looks stunning, and we are
thrilled. It is a complete transformation of our most lived-in
space...it has gone from dark and overbearing to light and spacious.
Although an expensive project, we would do it over again in a second.
Well worth the money for a completely new look to our kitchen. Thank you,
Franklin Painting!

Comments:
When I
called Frank for an estimate, he was at my house within hours and I had a
complete and thorough estimate in my hands promptly after we talked. Frank's
employees, who did the work, were outstanding. They showed up on time and
worked full days with professionalism and politeness, despite the sweltering
heat we experienced this summer. They were conscientious about doing a good
job and let me know if they encountered any problems they needed to solve;
then, they solved them. They completed a truly beautiful job in a matter of
days (we'd had our house painted by another contractor several years ago, and
that job seemed to take weeks, so I'd expected a similar pace). They cleaned
up thoroughly and even took our old shutters away (we thought we'd have to
make separate arrangements with our trash collectors). And when it was all
over, there were no "surprises" -- the invoice was exactly the same
as the estimate. I would completely recommend Franklin Painting for any home
painting job. Beyond their work ethic and the quality of their work, everyone,
from Frank to his employees, was friendly and considerate. They worked
quietly and efficiently and I never felt as if they were "in the
way": life for me and my family continued as normal, but the house
looked better and better every day! I have some interior painting that needs
to be done, and I will call Frank for that as well.

Spray

Comments:
Put off
this job for years because of the difficulty removing the wallpaper border
and the high ceiling in the entry way. Replaced roof in November 2009 after
several water damage spots appeared on the ceilings requiring them to be
repainted. I can paint small rooms but this task was too big for me. I had
never hired a professional painter before and was expecting a disaster,
especially with the ceilings having to be sprayed. Boy was I surprised. The 2
day job went quickly and when they were done everything looked new. The
ceilings were unbelievable and that wallpaper border will not be missed.
Owner Frank Campanelli worked tirelessly on my new entrance getting the stain
perfect. This took several days to complete due to drying time and final
clear coating. The inside stain was almost a perfect match for my existing
stained trim. I have received many compliments on my door from neighbors.
Frank's crew was professional and courteous and always cleaned up when done
for the day. Everyone on the crew respected my home. They performed a high
quality job. My wife and I are so happy with the results. The price was very
reasonable as well. I would not hesitate to hire them again and I will be
recommending them.

professionals. Job was started on time. Job was finished on time. Three men
on the job everyday for 8 hours until completion. The work was done with an

doing the job the right way and caring about the outcome. I still can't find
a spot of paint or dust anywhere. Conclusion: outstanding job from start to

work quietly and professionally, cleaned up thoroughly between day one and
day two and at completion. They did a coouple of extras for me (caulked

to put a delivery of roses in water when I was not home). They made the whole
experience painless for me. They had previously repaired and painted my
bedroom and den ceilings which were in poor condition...also an outstanding
job. I highly recommend them.

The most recent work done by Franklin Painting was to paint ALL the ceilings in our home. This included 3 bedrooms, 3 bathrooms, 1 dining room, kitchen living room, den, breezeway, 2 large hallways and 2 staircase ceilings. Member Comments:
This was not the first time Franklin Painting did work for us. Earlier this fall they power washed our house and deck. The finished product made the house look as though it had been repainted. The total cost was $400 and worth every penny! But...on to the recent painting project. After confirming the date, price, and amount of time the project would take, a team of 3, Andy, Jeff & Jeff arrived promptly at 8:30 AM on day one. While the original projection was 1 1/2 days to complete, I was quite skeptical of the timeline. By the end of the first day, they had completed taping and painting all the rooms on the first floor and taped the rooms on the second floor. By mid-morning of the second day, they had perfectly completed the entire job. In addition, they painted the crown molding in our living room (at my request) and did NOT charge me for the extra task. This team of very professional painters was extremely cordial, tidy, and VERY efficient!!!!!! When they left by noon on the second day, everything had been cleaned up and furniture rearranged. I was left with bright white ceilings that looked brand new!!! I would hire them again in a heartbeat!!!!! |

Painted my bedroom, bath and one wall in den. I was out of town and they had to do everything for me long-distance. Member Comments:
I met Frank on a Sunday. He gave me an estimate and after speaking to several other painters, I chose him because of his professionalism. Not one drop of paint on the carpet. He picked up the colors from the paint store and left the small amount that was leftover. I was extremely pleased. I would trust this company again to do my work. |

I hired Franklin Painting to paint interior hallways, kitchen and staircase. Member Comments:
Franklin Painting did a PERFECT job in every way. They started by recommending the appropriate sheen and color of paint. They spent a fair amount of time doing prep work - fixing small cracks, dings, nail pops, etc. The painting job itself was excellent - very neat, no splatter, no paint where it didn't belong etc. and a beautiful, professional result. We had a small area of trim that needed touchup and they did a great job carefully matching the color to the original. The painters were very pleasant and professional throughout the process. They completely cleaned up - our house was actually cleaner when they left! |

Wonderfully, once the weather cooperated. (It rained for almost all of June and July. The men were courteous and efficient, taking less time than we had expected them to take. Franklin Painting has been equally excellent in the past when doing work indoors. They are true professionals. |

This company is very professionally run, and a pleasure to deal with. They promptly provided an estimate, explained exactly what I should expect, negotiated start dates and when they needed to change anything about their plans, notified me promptly, did the work (including some carpentry) and cleaned up wonderfully afterwards. My calls were always returned promptly and the whole team was courteous and professional. |

$20,000.00 Description Of Work:
Complete exterior painting, including surface preparation (the entire house had been sandblasted by a different contractor, down to the bare wood), undercoating and finish coat. The main color was sprayed, while the trim was brush painted. The painters also repaired minor surface flaws in the wood that they noted during their work. Member Comments:
We have had trouble with pealing since a few years after we moved into our home approximately 20 years ago. Several years ago, we asked Franklin Painting for an estimate to repaint the home. Frank said he would not take the project unless we had the home sandblasted, because he did not believe we would be happy with the result. We decided to hire another painter who said he could sand the pealing areas and prevent pealing in the future. To make a long story short, the house was pealing again with 2-3 years. So this time we decided to follow Frank's advice. Let's hope we are as happy with the results in 2-3 years as we are right now. Once the project started, the team showed up as expected each morning and cleaned up completely before they left in the evening. They were on site almost 2 weeks (with a couple of rain days off). They worked steady and were very professional (e.g., no loud noises, yelling, blaring radios, etc.). They were a great group to have around your home. |

$30,000.00 Description Of Work:
Repaired walls, prepped and painted our 8,000 sq. ft. house every room, practically every surface. Did trim, windows, ceilings, walls, doors and epoxied our garage floor. Painted our garage and stairs. They sanded, caulked and filled in holes and cracks. Also hired them to paint my mother's house; entire interior except for one room. Member Comments:
Best painting company I've ever seen. The workers are polite, prompt, professional and extremely hard working and detail oriented. They repainted walls we didn't like. They came up with painting ideas and created the most beautiful faux finish in our dining room (using tissue paper and a metallic glaze) that resembles a textured finish. Just beautiful. It's eye catching, unique, but best of all will add value to my house upon selling. This house went from drab to fab because of them. Even though they are expensive (you get what you pay for) they have added value to our house. It's an investment. Not to mention what a joy it is to see your house come alive. |

Frank's team, led by Andy, painted our entire home's interior (walls and ceilings). Family room, kitchen, living room, dining room, 4 bedrooms, 4 bathrooms, screened porch, 2 1/2 care garage, and three halls. In addition they epoxied our garage floor. Member Comments:
Fantastic! Andy's team was clean, neat, and well organized. Their preparation was thorough, all wall imperfections were completely repaired, and primer was applied. The finish coats are perfect. (I refinish antique furniture and am somewhat of a perfectionist, their work is outstanding.) Cleanup was very good. They follow the rule, "The customer is always right." It has been a pleasure working with them and Barb and I miss them since they have left. They work together as a great team (had up to seven there at one point) and seem to enjoy each others company. We HIGHLY RECOMMEND Franklin Painting! |
